About Brow Lift Surgery
Deep forehead wrinkles created by a lifetime of facial expressions can cause eyebrows to droop, which pushes down the eyelids and creates a tired, angry appearance. Brow lift surgery, also known as a browplasty or forehead lift, can create a long lasting improvement that takes years off a patient’s face. By removing aged skin from the upper face while improving support structure and reshaping soft tissue, double-board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Asaf Yalif helps patients look and feel younger.
There are several brow lift techniques (such as the endoscopic brow lift), and Dr. Yalif works with each patient to determine the best treatment plan for their individual needs and goals. To learn more about the benefits of brow lift surgery, schedule a consultation at Y Plastic Surgery in Alpharetta, Woodstock or Roswell, GA today.

"I was very scared to my appointment... crying to my husband scared, my injury is very tender and painful. Dr. Y has such great bedside manner, he was gentle and handled my hand injury with care....his staff were so kind, they even held my baby. I would highly recommend him. I am not scared of my next appointment, at all."- W.D. / Facebook / Oct 12, 2017
"I have been seeing Dr. Y for several years now and am always pleased with my results. Since beginning treatments with Dr. Y I have moved to the Nashville area but still commute to the Alpharetta location for my regular appointments because Dr. Y has given me honest input on what I need and is light-handed in his approach. I look forward to getting my mommy-makeover done here as well."- D.T. / Google / Oct 09, 2017
What To Expect
Most brow lift surgeries are performed as an outpatient surgery at an accredited hospital or surgical center with the patient under general anesthesia. For brow surgery, incisions are usually small and placed in low-visibility areas, such as behind the hairline or eyebrows. The most common brow lift techniques are the open brow lift, limited incision brow lift, and endoscopic brow lift. Which procedure is performed will be determined based on the patient’s goals and their individual features. Once the incisions are made, the doctor will remove any excess skin, then smooth and reposition the muscles and soft tissue to smooth wrinkles and lines while elevating the eyebrows to an appropriate level.
Brow lift surgery usually takes about two hours, and once the doctor has cleared the patient, a responsible adult may take them home to recover. Most patients take one to three weeks to recover after a brow lift but are generally able to drive and return to work in two weeks. For the first days after the surgery, patients should expect some temporary bruising, discomfort, tightness, and numbness. The doctor will talk to each patient about what they need to do during their recovery and provide tips for an easier recovery. Patients will need to return for a follow-up appointment after one week to have their sutures removed and their healing progress checked. While visible improvements will be immediately apparent, the final results of the brow lift are usually seen about four to six months after the surgery.

Awake, Alert, Ageless
Many patients fear that a brow lift will leave them looking permanently surprised, unnaturally wide-eyed, or with other unwanted effects that show they have obviously had plastic surgery. Dr. Yalif’s years of experience in brow lift surgery, however, means he knows just how to create a younger, natural-looking appearance that refreshes the face. Using simulation software, the Dr. Yalif and the patient can decide how dramatic or how subtle they want the results to be. After brow lift surgery, patients will look more awake, more alert, and more like the age they feel. Interested in scheduling a free consultation at one of our greater Atlanta offices?
