Case Details
This patient in her late fifties came into the office to discuss her damaged TRAM after previous reconstruction surgery. She had undergone a mastectomy on the right with TRAM reconstruction. She then underwent radiation and most of the TRAM died, leaving a painful irregular breast. She elected for 2nd stage reconstruction with latissimus dorsi flap and tissue expander for stage 1. Stage 2 was performed a few months later with placement of a silicone implant and a breast lift on the left breast.
