Male Implants can be used to improve the appearance of the face in any way the patient desires, however, they are most frequently placed in the cheeks, chin, and jaw. Dr. Yalif also performs calf and pectoral implants for our male patients.
What to Expect
Our Atlanta Male Implant patients may have one augmentation surgery or a combination, depending on their specific needs and goals. Most implant surgeries are done with the patient under general anesthesia as an outpatient surgery, but some patients may need to spend the night for observation.
An incision is made in the back of the knee, and then the implant is placed in a pocket either below the fascia or within the calf muscle.
An incision is made in the armpit, and the implant is placed under the pectoral muscles and above the ribs.
An incision is made under the chin or inside the lip, then a pocket is created in the facial tissue where the implant will be placed.
Anticipated Results
The recovery period after Male Implant surgery will vary depending on the location of the implant, but the surgeon will go over aftercare instructions, including medications, compression garments, and activity restrictions.
Final results will be visible one to three months after the surgery when the swelling subsides, and the implants settle into their final position. Male Implants should be permanent, but patients should follow the surgeon’s care instructions and have their implants checked regularly.
